Those girls that went AXD are beautiful And would easily have fit in with DG if there was room. They tend to be the prettier and wealthier girls. As for Chi O, yeah they were founded here, but they are the rudest girls. They may like to act that way for reputation sake, but I know at least 10 who are on loans, student aid, etc. One of the "top" sororities in this write-up just had to shut down their chapter, and one of the "mid-tier" sororities has so many top women that it's almost embarrassing to the other sororities on campus. Delta Zeta is probably the hardest to get in on our campus. Theta: Similar to Pi Phi as girls usually have been told they will be a theta before rush week begins. Although Zeta Tau Alphas are often committed to philanthropy and successful fundraisers, they have a reputation for only accepting white girls. Definitely party girls. Signedproud member of DDD. At this point I have to assume you have already submitted all of your letters of recommendations and done the required paper work for recruitment. Some sororities have close ties to fraternities on the same campus and get together informally and for major events. I mean they must race to the computer to drop anyone who is a hayseed/dork (Kappa), fat/jockish (Theta), ugly/tacky(Tri Delt) and they were 'nice enough' to give me 3 days. Many consider them to be obsessed with their looks and say they have a reputation for body image issues. Some rely on their old reputation, even though their reality is not quite as shiny. Delta Gamma (DGs) is considered a mid-tier sorority almost everywhere across the country. They're not generally the most beautiful women on campus. Chi-Os are known for academics and being the good girls. Or, maybe they will just end up in DDD because they were cut from PKT but who cares! Again all the "rude" terms that I just associated with each house to not describe the individuals of a house, but terms like these come about when certain houses act together in poor ways. Definitely ChiO and KKG are the top tier at most schools. If you pledge a sorority and then aren't sure it's right for you, make your decision before the initiation process. AXO girls are generally not considered terribly hot or popular, but they are respected for being classy and involved in campus life. AXD These chapters are under the authority of one of UT Austin's seven Greek council communities, Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Latino Pan-Hellenic Council, Texas Asian Pan-Hellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council, United Greek Council and University Panhellenic Council. Foh with this backwards, regressive, and insulting nonsense suggesting being pretty and good looking is the main thing that defines a sororitys worth, this isnt 1950 and youre no longer in high school. Trust the process. Every house has an objective and will recruit accordingly. PKT..very different chapters but all three required major connections to get in.

Every sorority has partiers, so nothing should make aphi stand out in that area. Kappa Kappa Gamma (Kappas) are known for being rich girls. We are from the northeast and are not familiar with TCU. Nevertheless, recruiting in this fashion does attract beautiful girls. I think you are right on about all of them to a large degree. ,My biggest piece of advice is to go into recruitment at UT with an OPEN MINDI cannot stress this enoughplease try not to listen to other girls and thier opinions of the houses, especially if they are negative. They are known for hazing and weak sisterhood. They literally did not have any freshmen come to pref night who had Chi O and Zeta left. I'll take a go at it. Some consider them the quintessential sorority, in both a good and a bad way. So I'm a DZ and actually most of us are pretty attractive (believe it or not). I can agree it has to be an objective sort, of survey that produces such varied results, but as there many kinds of, people, there must be many kinds of "groups" to belong to. They are considered top tier at many schools. aphi might as well be on the same level as tridelt at this point because tri delt did ridiculously bad this year. However Zeta still got a better pledge class and Chi-O isnt on the same level as PKT. This can switch from school to school, but you did get the reps right, except for KD. Most sororities include philanthropic activities, which can range from working with local non-profits to fundraising or helping maintain the sorority house and grounds. But according to this middle aged man, we all just sleep around and party all the time. And if you are a girl reading this whos interested in joining greek life, dont listen to this shit. Many have noted that while Chi Os are sweet and classy, they are not necessarily known as the most physically attractive women (but not the ugliest, either; many have said they are plain Janes). Every girl should have the opportunity to get a feel for each and every house she rushes and decide for herself which she would fit in the best at. Not one person do I hear that they hate pi Phis. The reputation of Zetas ranges depending on who you talk to, but party girls is a fairly common descriptor; the less charitable have compared Zetas to the cast of the Jersey Shore. Everyone knows at least one KD they really like and one KD they really hate. So my assumption is that you are going into rush without knowing (m)any girls in the chapters. :). ,Im not a part of Greek life, but I have many friends who are. I have never seen them as top tier at any school I have observed. Chapters that are complacent about what they think can never happen will be caught off guard by the rise or groups that have their eye on the ball. Kappa Kappa Gamma seems to be falling in their ranking some due to their wild, "substance' use, and 'easy' dating habits. The fact that many Tri-Delts consider themselves top-tier might explain some of the resentment they get from other sororities. Some sororities are more social than others, hosting parties and events while others are more low-key. I was exposed to a bunch of them my sophomore year in college, and learned a bit through "osmosis" although I can completely understand not wanting to pledge!
