Emery married Jessica Hickman on September 30, 1978, who survives. They were married 43 years.
After high school Emery served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne in the United States Army. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and softball. He worked as a lineman for NIPSCO for 37 years. He was always active.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica; sons; Dana (Christine) Johnson, Eric (Stephanie) Johnson, and Kyle (Jackie) Johnson; daughter, Amy Johnson; grandchildren, Sophia, Chloe, and Gavin; a sister, Bonnie (Tom) Stroud; and a brother, Terry L.
